Medical technology world leader Philips and startup Invivox have announced the signing of a partnership agreement that will provide better visibility to Philips' Medical Training Institute (MTI, Centre de Formation Médicale), improving training for health care professionals (doctors, biomedical professionals, nursing personnel, technicians, medical support teams...).
For 39 years, Philips' MTI in Suresnes (just outside Paris) trains several hundred health care professionals yearly in targeted skills such as clinical applications, maintenance of equipment, personal development or continuous improvement.
As an approved, data-docked training center, Philips' MTI helps health care professionals acquire skills by providing innovative training programs in a range of themes.
"With Invivox, our health-oriented and clinical training will be more visible, becoming accessible to all health care professionals, which is perfectly aligned to our digital strategy aimed at supporting health care providers," explained Fréderic Bouvier, Director of Healthcare System and Solution Activities.
Startup Invivox has developed a platform that provides additional visibility to practical training modules through targeted online campaigns. The Invivox platform has also created software that enables clients (be they hospitals, medical training centers, or medical device manufacturers) to manage and operate their entire training program.
"Invivox is extremely proud to be signing a partnership with Philips, an industrial that is internationally recognized for its transparency, efficiency, and equipment reliability. It's an important recognition of the work we have been doing these past 3 years to facilitate training amongst healthcare professionals," declared Invivox General Manager Julien Delpech.
The first joint trainings will enable physicians to observe cardiac ultrasound procedures in several centers, such as Bordeaux's Haut-Lévêque hospital or La Timone, in Marseilles, and to discover practical technical skills through peer-to-peer medical training sessions. In addition to clinical training on equipment and solutions, Philips will offer healthcare professionals Masterclasses on technical and ethical issues arising from digital health technologies. Training on artificial intelligence offered by Philips' AI Hub research team in Paris, and modules on cybersecurity will also be proposed to a broader audience.
Training sessions will be conducted face-to-face, digital visibility and communication.
